CHISASIBI, some great achievement
At the time of setting up the hydro resources project in Baie- James, The Cris from Fort-George selected create their new hometown in an area called Chisasibi. Soon after, The Cris created the Fort-George Relocation Society. In 1979 the awarded a construction management contract to Construction D.L.T. (2014) inc.. Spread over a 20-month period, this meant erecting ninety-five new homes and the re-settling of two hundred and seven other houses (moved from Fort-Georges to Chisasibi) on new foundations.
